High School Dreams

Last night, I had a dream about my first day of high school. Mind you, that day has not even come yet! I can remember not knowing where any classes were, I could not find any of my friends, and I felt so much more nervous than I did when I went to junior high.

When I had finally found my first class, the teacher made three students sit outside of the classroom, and look through the window. This was incredibly unusual. Or at least I thought it was. The wall that divided myself and the other two students was concrete with the white, glossy paint like the walls in my old elementary school.

Soon enough, I was off to find another class. But instead, I found myself in the commons. The difference was that the commons looked like the cafeteria in a different high school where I performed with a choir. It had round tables, a lunch line, and tons of kids.

The upper classmen were not so nice as I thought they would be. They would meet the freshman and sarcastically acclaim how cool they were. Some of the students were wise to the fact that the upper classmen were actually making fun of them. However, some gullible freshman believed every word. They soaked up their 'glory'.

If there was more to this unusual dream, I cannot remember. The odd thing about this dream is that it was the type of dream where you actually believe that it is actually happening. Fortunately when I woke up, I had other thoughts that would prove otherwise. It is not that I am afraid to go to high school, but with all of these new thoughts I'm having about it, it just makes me wonder what it will be like. Just three years ago, I can remember myself in this same position. I was entering junior high. Although, at that time I had a lot of confidence. Hopefully I will enter high school with a stride, and take my first steps of a new school life!

Lisa,
Ahh...I remember the terror of the first day of High School. It was harder because I was going to a different school than all my friends, and there were people at the High School I really didn't want to know again. But it's not nearly as bad as it seems. You'll find you like it! ^.^
