Peace...
fades like the Blue of the Summer sky
I see the Lightning Dance with the stars
as I feel the Joy in taking a ride alone
in my 1976 Robin's Egg Blue AMC Pacer
I hear the Laughter of the Lady Slipper
that sits in the shade of the Peach Tree
I spy a Walking Stick rocking on the branch
acting as if he is dizzy from the Heights
I sit by the River listening to the sound
as sweet as the music of the Organ
reading my book by Anne Rice
feeling the Devil Inside surface
the Circle of light blooms
as I flick on the overhead Lamp
casting shadows on the Avocado
and the radio plays a song by Molly O
and the Black Panther picture on the wall
has eyes that follow me about the room
