Angels Tears Left To Burn
by Walter Jones (Age: 62)
copyright 08-10-2004

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Clouds cry out
a soft sound
of love to
the trees bared

Angels sing us
the song
from the thunder
of life

Walking the
back roads
singing the songs
of the land

Children play
with a story
fifty-seven inches
of rope
skipping

Each young
voice sings Song
of their life
to the wind

Me I found
myself singing
to the choir
of noise

Rope keeping
the beat and time
Taste of hope
crosses a shadow

Lost in the results
of time spent
black top
lifts a spirit

Eyes see hopeless
Hear the cry
of poverty
sundown found

The real love
now the street
counting days
left in pain

Mommas pray
for the sun
Their child
safe at home

Skipping rocks
across the water
A park pond
lost vision left

Clouds drift
in a sky
Aimlessly looking
angels that cry

Lost in the reality
I move in rhythm
Sad cost to live
no value do I add

World my
role
is only
space taken

Lightening strikes
at the heart
Space and time
I am loved

Roads lead
to the place
Where all
must go

Life is
the outcome
but death
waits everyone

Touch a hand
feed a man
push envelope
to the limit

Find and taste
every thing
of mind and
hand consumed

No rock
left unturned
Adventure lingers
in the real world

Unreal seen
falling but
falling forward
Possibilities open

Sunset walks deep
the image created
Never look back
those waiting

To follow death
is its own reward

Very good, I love the last line. Very heart-felt and meaningful. Good work!
