1000 Cranes
by Jane L. (Age: 14)
copyright 09-03-2004

Age Rating: 7 to 127

15 folds to make a crane.
One finished,
999 more to go.

Every crane and fold is filled with
The hope and wish,
Of us being together again.

(This poem is based on the legend of origami cranes.
Make 1,000 and your wish comes true.)

(This poem is dedicated to my special friends I left behind in America)

I heard of this legend before, it's a bit of a sad one. It's hard to make a wish to come true, and the only thing that will make our dreams come true is working up to the ability to make it happen. We all have a dream, and everybody deserves a chance to get it. The only question is how you'll go about getting it. Some who try to get it, while trying, louse their right to do so. I couldn't find any errors, even though I think you might want to capitalize all of the words in the title. Again, it seems your work was under rated... Good work, keep writing!

Its neet that your wish would be to have all your friends back. Thanks for this nice poem, Anthony

*gets tearry anime eyes* how kwaii! ... In a that is S~O~ sad sort of way! Ironicly (did I spell that right? I hope so!) , it reminded me of one of my friends from Antlanta, Georgia who would made about ten origami figures per day. Birds, claws, flowers, bears, people, those little chest boxes that are oh-so-annoying to get open witout ripping them to peices, those blow-up box things, you name it. Another rather ironic thing is, I've seen him make several birds: like flamingos (pems), penguins, woodpeckers, etc. - but I never saw him make a crane... hm... odd, isn't it?
