Another Requiem
by Joan Jotz (Age: 54)
copyright 08-15-2004

Age Rating: 16 to 127

Choirs of songbirds
Twittering their rage against serenity...
An invasion of dawn's dread sensation.

Bits of shattered sun
Rape multicolor beveled glass...
A bonfire that scorches blanched memories.

A breeze's cruel coolness
Fractures the waiting warmth...
A violation of nature tears the senses' flesh.

Captive under coverlets of pain,
I rant at this wretched reverie...
A stagnant span of life approaches.

This chamber's music
Plays harsh and hellish...
Another requiem rends my ravaged soul.

I love this, misery is more my field.
This creates superb images.
Like Walter said, it sucks you into the insainty.
Keep up the good work.

In the moment created, in the dance of mind and self, nature plays the soul like a lost melody, so perfect the fit, I am aborbed instantly into the poem.. Outstanding write.. Walt
