Angel of Mercy (A Paradelle)
by Nancy Pawley
copyright 08-14-2004

Age Rating: 7 to 127

The angel of mercy extended his wings
The angel of mercy extended his wings
And covered me with his open soul
And covered me with his open soul
The open angel covered his soul
And extended me with his wings of mercy

I soared to vast heavens and then beyond
I soared to vast heavens and then beyond
God’s love twinkled in the sparkling stars
God’s love twinkled in the sparkling stars
God’s heavens soared to the stars beyond
In vast sparkling love and then I twinkled

The swirling universe spiraled into the Milky Way
The swirling universe spiraled into the Milky Way
Producing galaxies and nebulas for all to see
Producing galaxies and nebulas for all to see
And nebulas spiraled into the universe for all
To see the swirling galaxies producing the Milky Way

God’s love covered the sparkling universe
Extended into the heavens to the vast galaxies
Beyond the Milky Way with the nebulas and stars
Producing his swirling angel wings in me
And His open soul of mercy twinkled
Then I soared and spiraled for all to see

Yay! Bravo! Whoo Hoo Hoo!!! *Hands clapping a round of applause* I adored this! I never heard of a paradelle, and I don't see it on the POETRY HELP page either. What exactly is it? What are the rules? I'd love to try. :-)
