They smiled,
They laughed at me.
They made me feel low,
Just to show how weak I could be.
Inside doesn't matter to them,
I can't change how they feel.
Honesty isn't enough,
Along with a friendship that's real.
It doesn't matter if I'm not popular,
At least I know who my friends are.
I know who I am,
Which brings me so far.
I wasn't perfect like them,
But now I am better again.
I prove my strengths,
And I feel good again.

What can I say here that hasn't been said before.
You have a huge and well-deserved fan club, and I would like to join it.
Yes, if you don't have the self confidence to stand up yourself, your thoughts and ideas, you will become dependent on people who would take advantage.
This poem did, in fact so so much with so few words.
I couldn't agree with everything that's been said any more. They are all right. As you are. ^^
But so angry. Still. Which gives the poem its impact and carries it successfully for its length. Shorter would have been undeveloped. Longer would have been tedious. As is, is just right. Congratulations!! Either at finding yourself again and your true worth, or at writing a piece that has evoked such strong comments. Maybe both. ^_~
