I created a contest
I wanted to know what people thought

And willingly gave enough points
... I thought
I explained my contest
What was required and all that stuff
I explained my contest
But maybe I didn't explain it well
... or not well enough
I created a contest
and wanted to build up our community
I created the contest
And wanted everyone to feel as I do
... and love PnP
I asked you to catch 'em
catch them being great at something
I asked you to catch 'em
catch them writing better than most
... now THAT's not nothing!
So again I'll ask
that you read what people here write

I'm really glad to see the entries thus far. I'd love it if you guys entered more poems about other authors and told me just why you love their work so much. It's good for me, it's good for you, it's good for THEM, it's good for PnP!!!

Caught You Being Great
Let's see how many authors we can catch being great! What I'd like to see is this... read, Read, and READ some more. Read as much as you can and tell the PnP world just what poem you think is the best, and WHY! It must say WHY you think that particular poem is the best. We often have opportunities to brag about ourselves and enter our OWN works into a contest, but this is a chance for us to brag on others! Please write a little poem about why someone else's work touched you, moved you, said something great or profound. Say why it inspired you, why you think it makes PnP a better place to read, write, and BE! (And don't forget to include the author's name and the name of the work that you're writing about. We want to encourage others to go and read what we liked so much.) Come on folks... I'm offering 100 POINTS! Let's see what you come up with!

it was just people must have had a lot to do and couldn't find the time in their busy schedules to join this fantastic contest of yours.

I totally agree with that.rrrrh (opps that was my kitten. I myself have created a contest about animals and didnt get a very good response. I have to, on my part for now, say sorry for not being "as" involved as I would like to be here. I'm very busy at work right now and usually stay that way till 7 or 8 pm. Once I get through this transition at the hotel, I will be more active again. Thanks for pointing that out. I think everyone should be more involved when time permits.
I will certainly read and re-read many of the talented authors on PnP. Also read the masters, Wordsworth, Longfellow, Poe, Stowe, Frost the rest. Even the most obscure of them...I get great inspiration. The contest is a challange. It's finding the time to do it!
