  Looking Forward

I need a new beginning
I need to start fresh and new
I’ve got to re-find myself
To my own self be true
A path of self-discovery
My plan to get back up
I’ll hold my head up high again
Half full will be my cup
I will stop looking behind
Because the future lays ahead
I’ll add more to myself
Forget my past it’s dead
I look forward to what I can be
I’ll try to accept who I am
Undo what must be undone
I must hold out my hand
No more frightening lies
I’ll pretend no longer
I’ll look forward to what’s ahead
And for it I’ll be stronger

Great poem!
This is great, and I love it, like I love all your poems.
I wish I could write like you, and pour all my emotions out into the paper like you, but I'm still to learn!
Another job well done, and congrats on becoming Gold-Member!
