USA, what does it stand for anyway?
Freedom, liberty, and justice.Does it go that way?
Or is it more you say?
Is it being home safe and sound or living today?
Is it not being robbed and shot?
Is it experiencing life, or not?
Is it something we can trust?
Should we do it,or, is it a must?
Although these things I don't understand.
I'd like to learn on the other hand.
I love the USA!
And I have hope anyway!

This was a good poem, but you touched one of my ranting nerves. The US provoked the war with Iraqi, they got themselves wayin over their heads, are only spending money in some crap country, and I could go on forever about how I hate Bush and what he's done to the US. Anyhow, this is a good poem and in the long run I'm glad I read it... It's good you have hope though. I don't hate the US, I just hate Bush. And I hope that if we can get a president with half of a brain in next time, then I'll be more for the US. All the same, good work, and keep writing.
May the divine darkness be with you,
Leigh of the Commenting Crusaders
This poem is splendid! An excellent write of a free-verse. Not many people realize a free-verse when they see it, but this qualifies as one. Not all poems need to flow, esspecially not free-verse. If you meant for this to be rhymed then I must admit, yes, you may want to work on your flow and such, otherwise tis an excellent poem!
