It doesn't seem that long ago when I became a dad
And everything profoundly changed from the life that I once had
This tiny bundle changed my life in ways I'd never known
And I can never seem to grasp how fast the time has flown
A shining pair of bright blue eyes gazed out upon the world
And a tiny mouth with chubby cheeks into a smile curled
The smallest hand I'd ever seen held on my finger tight
And I gently rocked my baby 'til she fell asleep that night
Throughout the years she grew into a darling little girl
And the quiet home that I once knew became a dizzy whirl
Beauty pageants, dance, and sports became our standard fare
And her mom and I spent many hours of joy beyond compare
Everything gave way to sports as the years went quickly by
And before I knew what happened a young woman caught my eye
The little girl that I once knew was all grown up somehow
The tiny hand that once held mine belonged to a woman now
I've watched her grow throughout the years and now I realize
How precious time with children is as they grow before our eyes
She's brought me the greatest joys in life that I have ever had
And I am always proudest when I hear her call me "Dad"

Alright, not fair, I'm crying. Man, I'm a guy this isn't right. I have to darling boys that are 2 1/2 and 10 months and I already wonder where the time is going. They are the greatest wonders in the world to me. Thank you for such a wonderful picture you have painted for all the other dads reading this masterpiece.
