Letter To My Love...
by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 38)
copyright 10-03-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Tiger,

I just wanted to let you know
that every ray of sunshine
can't compare to the light
you shed in my life,

and every drop of water
could not ever quench my thirst
the way your love does.

You are my breath
that keeps me living,
you are every goal
I've ever aspired to,

you are my everything
and I will never be able
to thank Jehovah enough
for blessing me with you.

As long as one would count
the grains of sand in the sea
Please know, that's how long
love for you will reside in me

Higher than Mount Everest,
With more thunder than Niagra
Deeper than the depths of the ocean
Farther than Never Never Land

Nothing... nothing can come close
to the love that we've found...again
To have loved and lost...
but nobody ever writes of finding it - again!

I met you when I was teen
And fell in love shortly thereafter
We wed after a couple years of courtship
and made it through a great deal

But when we both gave up
We lost what meant the most to us
When we let it go
Neither of us was ever the same

Now? Now how grateful we are
That we've been given a second chance
How precious love is
Especially the second time around

It will be our fifteenth
Wedding anniversary come January
And I'd like to thank you for your love,
your wisdom, and your patience.

You grow more into the man
you were meant to be
as each day passes
and how very proud I am!

I hope I can be the wife
you've always wanted
And the mother our children need
to be who they can ultimately be

I try...
I try so very hard, Don.
Please know and never forget
that I will never stop trying.

I love you!!!!

Your cupcake forever -

Mary

I believe that most people get a second chance at love but not necessarily with the same person from before. I am truly so happy for you and your husband and wish you two the best of everything! :}

Second time love. Thats a challange. You have written a beautiful poem for your husband. I will work on a poem for you soon. Thanks, Anthony

This poem is so sweet. Its nicely expressed. While judging the contest I had a really hard time deciding if it was Carmen or you. Great job.

Very sweet and touching write. I think you could very easily make this into some beautiful wedding vows. Take care and Have fun. Steve

Mary,
This is a sincere and genune display of the most coveted emotion...but so much more. You take a reader through the pure begining of love, with a slow climax to exhaultation. But you also let us see the difficult lesson of keeping that which we should treasure most. You build this well, take us sliding down the slope of regret, and lift us again to experience love's re-birth.
Effective writing....and quite a passionate expression of your love for your husband.
