Cinnamon
by Lisa Anderson (Age: 18)
copyright 10-06-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Rich red aroma,
Coming down yonder…
It’s mystifying,
And makes me ponder.

The candle burns,
Wax dripping down.
The cinnamon scent
Swirling around.

Apples being cut
By the fire’y blaze,
Where the cinnamon
Cloud floats in a haze.

The snow outside is
Bone chilling cold.
But the cinnamon smell,
Is warm and bold!

I never really tasted cinnamon. It is an apply smell, is sit not? I'm not sure, but from the way you described it, I am eager to try it!!!

This is a very nice poem. It reads very well and makes me want a cinnamon roll. You paint a nice picture that I can smell! Thanks, Anthony
