  Distant

Love is the floor of Heaven,
Yet I've seen nothing but Hell.
"Life is a wonderful thing.",
Is the crap that angels sell.

No human cries tears not of joy.
No creature makes no sin.
Blades of faith will still deploy;
I'm bleeding; outide-in.

Out of all the things to walk upon,
The world makes me its earth.
But with the universe so distant,
I have yet to see my birth.

So distant, I can't be touched.
Too close, I can be hit.
Too far to be accepted.
Just right to be misfit.

Far too jagged to be held.
Much too sharp to comprehend.
Weak enough to be compelled.
Over doubtful to befriend.

I'm way too distant.
I must resist this.
Keep your fallacies away.
I won't return, no way!

No way, no how.
No say, no vows.
No hope, no trust.
No love witnessed.

I'm truly distant.
So far away.
Bring me closer
To no one!

I am immortal.
I've gone astray.
You can't secure me,
I'm still running away.

But I'm so far distant.
That's how I'll stay.
Not like you'd notice,
Anyway.

Very good and very different. This poem showed pain but feeling as well, giving it that kick

Cortney.
