If the day finds me in the quiet of sleep
And your kiss awakens those things we keep
I will take this moment to travel through life
Oh heart still in my breast beat soft rhythm
Holding close the precious gift you give my wife
In anger we often say the painful things of loss
No merger is a strangle word of right or cost
Content to be the shadow wing of air that lifts
Hold back the hours before daybreak comes
And through my hair let your fingers run
Peace and hope are the special gifts we bare
Silhouette greats the warmth and breath of all
I most remember to make use of all while you are here
Full heart lingers to the wonders of the way
Path although spurn with thorns has a bright new day
Fog clears the dream to reality and all of me
Gift of rest has filled a tired old mind dreams escape
We have the best you and I for in the sleep neither cries
Today was one of conflict tonight one of you and I try
Beams of love dance from here to there
I take your hand kiss away the bitterness of pain
We have made it through all the sun and rain
Coffee on the table smile across the way
Child of all the good that is still I holds for hope
Through the trouble night we rise to face the day
Gift of what you are and in that special time
My love is what you find so deep inside your mind

A love poem to and about a mate is perhaps the hardest to realistically write. I think you accomplished the improbable in "Love Wins The Day". You do leave me wondering at times about certain word choices as to whether they are intentional or otherwise. I will simply go on wondering. Nice poem. dale
