Siblings

We are siblings – you and I,
not by birth,
but by the blood bond
of our vampiric race.

As one,
we prowl the dreamscapes -
the nether regions,
seeking prey,
relishing the fear
we consume from their eyes
and the ambrosia
we quaff from their veins.

Let us roam
‘til the dawn my darling -
my succubus sister–
pass the chalice,
frolic in the flesh,
delight in the horror.

Lips to lips,
fangs to fangs,
tongue to tongue -
share your ruby spoils
with mine.

While you drink,
press your heart to my breast,
that I may know the joy
of it’s pulsing crescendos.

Come,
just we two,
let us haunt the Realm
of the Living -
and charm our unwary lovers
to the Realm of the Dead.

I agree with Euna, when I read this my flesh begins to crawl way down deep. This would be a winner in any Halloween contest.

Well-crafted and a super-read. Thanks,

~Rich

A little scary! But well written, with great imagery. Well done!

P.S I would have given you some praise points but I am very low due to being away from this site for nearly 2 years.

Urgh...I'm getting shivers all up and down my back. Normally, I am a very happy, cheerful, over the rainbow person (to my friends anyway, those are their words), so I'm not used to reading things like this. BUT!!! BUT BUT!!! It was very well written, and plain FREAKY imaging which is emphasized by that equally FREAKY picture! This was a wonderful piece of work, and even though it gave me da shivers...brrrrrrr

Excellent piece of work. Good choice of wording and very well applied throughout coming up with a most interesting piece to read. A joy from the beginning and I really liked how you closed it all off in your last verse. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this one as it was great all around. Nice work, Ernie.

That was so creepy and wonderful.
It makes a great picture in ones head.
It's the perfect time of year for it too.
Keep up the good work.

Lyle,
CREEPY PICTURE!!!
I like this, the form, the words used, the images created. It has a sensual quality beneath the ghoulish descriptions. Nice one!

Joan
