World Of Diamonds
Gray shadows of the bare oaks blend into the ink blue night sky.
Giant moon vivid and cold shines off the unmarked snow like a world of diamonds.
It seems a shame to leave my foot prints across this forest floor.
I move across this diamond world silent but for the crunching of snow under foot.
A light breeze stings my cheeks and pulls my hair.
My collar turned up hands deep in my coat pockets head held low against the cold.
I glance back across this forest floor foot prints made by my passing are but dark holes in the moon lit snow, as empty and dark as my heart.
Why is your heart is so empty? You walk through a world of natural beauty with a floor of diamonds and yet your heart is so dark.
Moving through this sparkling world the moon so bright it seems surreal yet I
see it not.
Moments ago my world was as full as this nights giant moon.
With empty heart I need to reveal my loss who shall hear my cries..
The bare oaks, a giant moon, maybe the cold forest and its diamond floor.
Yes all will listen and the cold breeze will carry it far.
This is the way, cries in the night, all will listen none shall hear.
For I feel I have lost my dream girl she comes to me not.
