Fear finds a home deep within my heart
Everything I know is breaking all apart
Years fade away into memories
Everything I know is only what I see
Trails less traveled are those that we don't know
Roads hardly taken, their paths they do not show
Braille's not enough to lead me through this maze
Roads hardly taken, enveloped by a haze
Fear finds a home deep within my heart
Blindly I now step, my journey will soon start
Clear vision gone, I'm just not sure what's right
Blindly I falter into my future's night
This one or that? God, I wish I knew!
Will I find success on one that leads to you
Bliss might await, then again might sorrow
Will I find success in one of my tomorrows
Fear finds a home deep within my heart
I'd know which way to go if I were only smart
No matter what, at least we have our friends
I'd know which way to go if I could see the end
Shaking legs take me one step at a time
I walk blindly, not knowing which fate's mine
Taking to dreams that are my guiding light
I walk blindly, wanting to be right

I really like this one. Some of your early work is great! Most of it that is, if you'd have only known me then. Fear is in us all and finding a way around is not better than straight ahead. Life is a maze and if you come out on the other side...you win! Thanks, Anthony
Wow~ It's rare that the comment section following one of my pieces is as long as the work itself seeing as I'm so "prolific" as one person called me. (Wordy is what I call it...lol) I'm glad you all enjoyed the content. Any suggestions on the style in which the tale was told? Just wondering.
I LOVE This one Mary, rather than agree with the other comentators on this one, (Because they are all true and I would just be repeating them) I would like to say that this was great reading material, I enjoyed the tale within which provoked some thoughts of myself to appear.
Well done, Mary. Lots of feelings swirling around in this poem. As Robert stated, all one can do is use the information that is provided at the time and learn as you go. Crossroads are always difficult times because one can't see the road clearly ahead. Good poem!
