Searching For Peace
by Walter Jones (Age: 62)
copyright 03-26-2008

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Path was spurn with love the deceit not far behind
In the shadows of heaven the devil was sharing a piece of mine
And I ride to the place where the angels spend their lost time

Kept me a crying lady held her for the pleasure of my sin

Took the pride that was in me and gave in to the wind of life
Ride the mainstream singing to the echoes in my heart lost in heaven
This is how the journey starts in a hurry to get where I don’t belong

We are but the shadows as we walk the path so long

It is a crying pity that love is burned inside the heart for in the morning
Here the screaming start and I am going to reside where the sun can’t hide
Here the silver jingle as the table burns to ground an’t no love in coming down

See me string the loose ends across a fury sleeping in the soul of every man

Angels know the story each a member of his own Klan and we ride like death
Words know description life knows only end faith is the victim of free will again
As I ride from start to finish in the path spurn with love and deceit few are the victims

We watch the stars in the heaven as the questions of immortality few will ride to freedom

Each walks in the shadow of the greatness laid upon the lad there is no garden destroyed by man
I am going to ride in chariot across the sky in flames of redemption as the earth core burn
If you are willing with me we can all takes turns and the cost is freedom bowing and in glory sent

Heard the last of angels touch my shoulder of your pride and sin repent and I will ride

And I ride...
We are but...

Walter, nice to meet you
On your walk.

"...Took the pride that was in me and gave in to the wind of life

This particular section really spoke to me. For me, it spoke of surrender, to fate, to a Higher Power... being conscious of my place in and of this world, despite my willingness to surrender; memories of my old-self, and then, the apprehension and yet, urgency of *moving forward" and the need to surrender *daily*...
I wonder if this is what you felt, when you wrote it?
At any rate, I really like this. ^_^
