Buffalo (HOT) Wings
by Anthony Lane Stahlhut (Age: 47)
copyright 12-07-2004

Age Rating: 4 to 127

You must have these things to make this entree.
10# Chicken wings,48oz.hot sauce,2#butter,horseradish, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder.1 stalk of celery and blue cheese dressing.(If you like it HOT you may want cayenne pepper and tabasco sause.)
To get the wings ready you must separate the three sections of the wing (usually disguarding the small piece.)On a baking sheet place the wing pieces so that they do not touch each other(you can get real close and you may want to coat the pan so the wings won't stick).
Sprinkle over the wing pieces, the salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and if you want them "Hot"use the cayenne pepper now(use these spices like you think..ie:some may want more or less garlic).
Place them in the oven at 350% for about 45 min.to about an hour (depending on your oven).Make sure that the wings are fully cooked(not crispy, just cooked).
While they were cooking, you would have been making the sauce.Combine the butter and hot sauce(if your pan is small you may have to do this two times, each time using half the ingredients.)Add the horseradish(usually I use the small jars in the diary section at the grocery store)I only add about 1/4 teaspoon of horseradish and if you want them "hot" you should add the tabasco sauce to taste, now(no guts, no glory)bring the sauce to a low boil
When the wing pieces are done in the oven place them directly into the sauce mix and let the sauce mix boil around the wing pieces. Five minuets should do,longer if you want.
Remove the wing pieces and let them drain,so that the sauce won't drip on you.I sagest if you are over 21,to eat these while drinking beer, but lots of cold water or your favorite beverage will do.In restaurants they serve the wings with celery and blue cheese dressing(to cool the burn!)Hope you like them!

Hot wings my dad and Kathy along with my brother Carl 3 and Steven eats hot wings when they are at home. And they have smoke coming out of there ears but I like the mild things that a way I don't have a like to burn myself when it comes to the Super bowl or potluck dinners or big events like that.

I just don't see every one eating hotwings maybe a few people but just a few people. On my dad's side of the family but on my dad's side of the family it's just to weird they eat mild and regular things.

I have never come across this here in the UK. I presume it is an American dish. It sounds very tasty.
One thing that puzzles me is the name. When I first saw it I thought it had something to do with Buffalo, (Bison).
We do have chicken here so I might give it a try, thank you, Brian.

Reading this made me feel very hungry. I love hotwings and these sound pretty good. I would use lots of hot sauce and massive amounts of garlic! Mmmmmmm, garlic.

Hmm... I'll have to try these. :-) My husband likes hot wings and he'd love it if I surprised him with a nice big batch of them! Perhaps I should post some of my favorite recipies on here. It might just make someone else's day a bit better. Food is always good for what ailes ya! LOL
