Written on the Wind

Written on the Wind

Rectitude seems to fill my mind,
scheme for time to look, and find,
that fading autumn wild flower,
hold fast ~ abide for one more hour.

Flowing though the sea and land,
my voice and plan will not command,
nor let me declare it is time to go.
What simple closure shall we know?

I send out this call, a plea thee,
remember me ~ return to me
my time with you I must now steal,
no secrets learned can be revealed.

Let our season be spent well,
with no judgment for you to tell.
If regret you find within in your heart,
please be silent, do not impart.

Do not make my errors known,
no need for all to be shown.

Eons from now who will care.
It has all been written on the air.
