Sailor Moon's Awakening
by Andrew Findlay (Age: 39)
copyright 01-08-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Sailor Moon did a fantastic flip through the air with her bright red boot connecting in her opponents face.
"Take that you evil youma", she screamed.
The youma was propelled several yards and landed awkwardly into a tree. It didn't look very amused.
Sailor Moon pulled out her crystal moon wand in her very practiced pose. "Moon Healing Escalation," she yelled and she spun around like a professional ballet dancer and fired healing rays into her enemies body before it could recover.
The creature's body glittered with white light and in seconds the beast was replaced by Melvin. Melvin looked dazed and struggled to his feet. "What happened to me?"
Sailor Moon stood proudly. "You were possessed by a youma again. You really should be more careful," she said with a sense of satisfaction.
"WOW!" Melvin stood at attention almost as if he were in the military. "Sailor Moon...you saved me again. Thank you."
"All in a nights work," she said as she hopped over a couple of small houses and disappeared into the moonlight. She landed in a field and suddenly she felt weak as if her energy was being drained.
She looked around nervously. "What's wrong with me? Why do I feel so tired all of a sudden?"
As she fell to one knee, she could feel the unmistakable warmth of Tuxedo Mask's hands around her shoulders. "Don't resist Sailor Moon. Let yourself fall asleep."
"Tuxedo Mask...something's wrong with me. I can't stay awake. Help me."
"Don't worry my love," he whispered as he put a pillow under her head. "You have to wake up now."
Sailor Moon was confused. Hadn't Tuxedo Mask just told her to go to sleep, and now he was telling her to wake up?
Her head sank deep into the pillow and she yawned. "I can't stay awake..."
"You have to wake up Sailor Moon..." he whispered sweetly. "Go to sleep now my love..."
Sailor Moon closed her eyes. The grass seemed to get even softer as she gave in to her fatigue.
"Wake up Serena!" a voice called loudly. "You'll be late for school.
Serena opened her eyes. It was her mom calling her. She must have slept in again and was going to be late for school. As she got dressed, she remembered her dream. She remembered dreaming that she was Sailor Moon again. She really liked that cartoon and she wished that she could really be Sailor Moon in real life. That would be so cool.
"Hurry up, you're going to be late for school again Serena," screamed her mother.
Serena smiled. At least her name was the same as her hero's. She grabbed her school bag and raced out the door ready to face a new day.
However, as she ran towards her school, she began to feel strange. Almost as though she had missed something important. She looked down and was quite surprised to see a plastic Sailor Moon transformation brooch hanging around her neck.
"I don't remember having this..." she whispered to herself as she slowed her run to a slow walk.
"Wait up Serena," yelled Raye from behind her.
Serena spun around very slowly and looked at the girl dressed in red temple clothing standing behind her. It was Raye, from the Sailor Moon cartoons.
"What's going on here," Serena whimpered. She was beginning to worry that she was going crazy. Maybe she was getting too obsessed with her hero Sailor Moon and was beginning to see characters from the show.
"Serena," said Raye looking a little annoyed. "What are you doing here? We need you to fight the negaverse."
Serena looked decidedly confused. "But I'm just a girl. I wish I were Sailor Moon, but she's just a cartoon..."
"Snap out of it meatball head," said Raye, raising her voice and slapping her harshly across the face. "You're under a youma's spell. You're still asleep!"
"What? What's going on here. I can't be Sailor Moon. She's just a cartoon." She put her hands up to her head and pulled them away in shock. Her hair was now in the same style as Sailor Moon's, meatballs and all.
"Wake up Serena, unless you want another slap!" screamed Raye.
"But..."
Raye raised her hand again and slapped her even harder than the first time. "WAKE UP SERENA!!!"
Serena fell onto the sidewalk and when she opened her eyes she was Sailor Moon and she and the other Scouts seemed to be in a battle with a familiar looking youma.
Sailor Mars helped her up. "I thought I was never going to get you out of that trance. That youma had you under some kind of spell, and you've been unconscious for several minutes."
Sailor Moon got up with a slight expression of anger on her face. "Thanks Raye," she said. "But did you have to hit me so hard?"
"Sorry meatball head. But normal methods weren't working. Now I believe you have a youma to take care of."
"Shiny Aqua Illusion!" yelled Sailor Mercury and a beam of the purest water imaginable slammed the youma into a tree, stunning it.
"Now Sailor Moon!" bellowed Sailor Jupiter, indicating that it was time for Sailor Moon to use her finishing move on the youma.
Sailor Moon pulled out her crystal moon wand and spun around like a practiced ballerina. "Moon Healing Escalation!" she said in her familiar style.
A beam of white light enveloped the youma. It struggled against its purity, but it couldn't resist Sailor Moon's healing magic. It glowed hot white for a moment and vanished, leaving Melvin in its place.
Melvin was dazed. "What happened?" he said as he rubbed his sore head.
He looked around, but the Scouts were already gone, off to fight evil where ever it might surface. He was alone and very confused.
"Was I just dreaming?" whispered Melvin nervously, and he got up and started the all too familiar walk home.

WOW that was cool I loved the bit when Raye actually hit Serena really hard.

This slightly reminds me of episode 62 Prediction Of Doom where Serena is put in to an eternal sleep.

Anyway great job.

Victoria, lighten up! I thought this story was really good. At first, I thought that this was taking place in our world, not the Sailor Moon world. Because in our world, Sailor Moon is just a cartoon! Yeah... it was kind of confusing... Okay, I agree with Victoria, you need to expand on some things and make clearer everything else!
