Compliment
by Nancy Pawley
copyright 12-17-2004

Age Rating: 7 to 127

  Compliment

Compliment life’s little miracles
The golden sun of morning’s rise
Relishing each daybreak's guardian angel
Senses waking, flittering-fluttering butterflies

Compliment your vast abundance
The silvery moon fancies the dark of night
Twinkling stars dance in glittering ambiance
Celestial motions spanning sleep, heaven’s socialites

Compliment the lives of loved ones
Encompass all the goodness of their different recipes
Accept the lasting joy of their affections
Weaving pleasant tapestries from sentimental memories

The rhythm amd meter is perfectly suited to the poem's content and message, at least to me. It's a pleasure to read this-- like a happily meandering river, a mirror to the constant flux around us, simply because it's there.

I see you love nature as do I. So much to love, is there not?

Such positive thoughts in a negative world.
Thanks,
David Pekrul
