And I Think You Did Too
by Anthony Lane Stahlhut (Age: 48)
copyright 12-17-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

And I Think You Did Too

Do you know what total darkness sounds like?
Or how total silence looks?
Total darkness sounds like your gone,
and total silence is what my heart sees.

Sometimes when it rains, I feel sad.
I can remember how I have cried.
The rain like the tear drops were memories,
but they were memories of a happiness with you.

I'm alone sometimes now, but not completely.
It always seems like a memory of you,
is there encouraging me to go on, just as before.
And I know that I loved you,
and I think you did too!

I don't know if I like the first or the last lines the best out of the entire poem. YOu catch our attention quite effectively, and hold it beyond the borders of reading it. "I think you did too"... and so ends many memories. Sigh...

Well Anthony you were not wrong. I can certainly empathise with this.
I also agree with Chelsea and David, as I think you know.
Well done

It took me a long time to read this. I do feel your anguish here. The strongest and most focal point of the poem is your comparison of tears to raindrops. Incidentally, the picture is heart renching too.

Splendid...absolutly splendid! Anthony, I hope that your words are just that...words. You are never alone. For remember though I have never met you nor do I really know you, I am here with you alawys in your heart.

I'm feeling pretty depressed at the moment. We all feel like this at the moment and I really relate to this and good picture choice.

I agree with Nancy's comments. A great twist on two of our most basic senses.

aaaw this was a really nice poem and well described just a few mistakes:

2nd paragraph 3rd line teardrops should be two words

3rd paragraph 1st line compleatly should be completely
also on the 3rd line on,just you need a space in there...

perfect and another good poem by you...keep it up :)

Emy

'Do you know what total darkness sounds like?
Or how total silence looks?'
These first two lines really caught my eye..good write, Anthony.
