I wrote this at the beginning of the year. It's also posted on a few places around the web. But here you go:

~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*

Butchered and violated of all purity,
This once was a sanctuary
But there will be no more smiles
Or laughter in a place that once meant so much
With its colors and rides
Dull and dimmed
And love
Faded and gone
Yet, into the night
It becomes haunted
As you still hear the echoes of far-off laughter
The smell of popcorn and candy
And the mirage of smiles in playhouse mirrors

Rollercoasters,
frozen in time
The statues frown and glare,
Unable to trust again
Flowers,
Wilted and dead
Water in fountains,
Quiet and still.

The life and warmth moved out
And left everything behind
The fun....
The faith...
The love...
The hopes...
The dreams...
The memories of better times....
And the will to start over and try again.

Loss is always hard and memories linger in places for as long as you want them to. When you want to replace them you will. Starting over will help. Never give up. We will always be here to listen. Thanks, Anthony
