He Keeps Coming Back To Me
by Renee Gonzales
copyright 09-09-2001

Age Rating: 13 to 127

He keeps coming back to me,
the one of his choice.
Do I look like the ATM machine?
I ask in a “sure mijo!” voice.

He tries so hard to make ends meet,
his clothes and shoes can attest.
Finish college is my answer,
this ATM is looking forward to a rest!

He hates asking for money,
I borrow from one to give to the other.
Wonder if he knows,
occasionally, the ATM turns into his brother.

Both ATM machines will continue to produce,
after all, he is his brother and my son.
Once graduated from college and having kids
then he will know where I am coming from.

So until that time comes,
when he gets his much anticipated degree.
He will return the favors one day,
until then, ATM will be me!

Yikes! My two are ages three and eleven, but they are boys... so no weddings like the other commentors. ATM? Nah! He'll need to get a job! I did...he can as well. I'm so mean! hahaha.

It's wonderful that you can help your sons to get an education, maybe they can send you to college once they are done, LOL

Two down, three to go... *sigh* When you're having a family, why doesn't someone tell you that those kids are going to want to go to college someday?

I wish my ATM would turn into a benefactor rather than a loan-shark! Good job, and thanks for the reminder (I think).
