  My Wonderland

Wondering deep in myself, I’m ever so lost
The world seems to fall out from underneath me
I don’t understand who I am or where I am
My mind, oh my mind, so full of twists and turns
Downward ever downward, I tumble into the abyss
My mirror shatters into a million jeweled splinters
I am trapped in a world of chessboard dreams
Voiceless laughter defuses through the air
“You will never escape.” it chuckles like a tortured scream
Never, never I am trapped and I accept it
“You can if you forgive.” the faceless smile taunts
I can’t understand, I can’t or I wont
“What do you run from?” the butterfly asks with a smirk
Run? If I could I would, but I merely fall
“You can if you forgive.” the faceless smile taunts
No, no, I can’t, it’s impossible, and I wont
“Off with her head!” my heart cries
Gladly I would stick out my neck, if it were not for the dull blade
“You can if you forgive.” the faceless smile taunts
Forgive what, forgive whom, what do you mean
The Jabberwalkie burbled as it came, “You will die.”
If I could, I assure you I would already be dead
“You can if you forgive.” the faceless smile taunts
Stop it, stop it, I can’t understand, I wont
The white rabbit stuck out his hand and pronounced me his friend
“Forgive and you can.” the faceless smile taunts
And I laughed as my tears created a mirror, I’d forgiven myself

Lewis Carroll would be proud of you. This had a wonderful flow; I was entranced. One of your best, at least from what I have read so far.
