Nobody's Coming Home
by Delaney Lindley (Age: 19)
copyright 12-23-2004

Age Rating: 13 to 127

As the scene draws to a close
This book so beautifully endowed by its creator
Begins a preface to it's next tragic
And touching chapter
Picking out
All the possible charactors
Some will meet an untimely end
Some will simply leave
Seemingly knowing
What's the right path for them
And though they hope
No tears shall pass
I just can't help myself
This razor is cutting so deep
This heart has no hopes of being put together again
In this gassamer dream
I hope I can still find peace
Alone in this bed
I hope I can sleep
Some nights I feel dreary
So tired and so cold
Another empty letter sent
And nobody's coming home.

Its sad that what usually makes us poets write is sorrow. You have written another vrey good paper.
Delaney L., you are special and don't let anyone ever tell you different! I look forward to reading more from you! Thanks, Anthony
