Can you fly like a bird in the sky?
Can you laugh like a child, not knowing why?
Can you float like a cloud up above?
Can you live, laugh and cry or even love?
When a tear rolls down your cheek and turns to shame,
when your heart seems broken up and not the same.
When you seem to have lost what you're living for,
you're on your knees and you can't take it anymore.
Just close your eyes and dream a dream of happiness.
Reach for those clouds in the sky and nothing less.
Go for the top, be number one not number two.
Go for it all, to the top, in what you do.
If you can't fly like the bird in the sky,
or laugh like the child not knowing why.
Not even float like the cloud up above,
you can still live, laugh and cry...
And even love!

Ahhh... optimism! What a wonderful thing! Truly great, and truly rare. It's like a sunrise on the horizon, it's like a breath of fresh air!
Thank you, word master, for sharing this.
Anthony,
A very hopeful poem, playing off the emotional experiences of life. It had a nice rhythm and flow, but I think you can give the reader a little more insight as to why one should strive so...not just reach to be #1, but the reasons why...make sense?
I tripped on the rhythm of one line:
"You're<--spelling) on your knees and you can't take (it--> I would drop this word) anymore."
Great poem of positive encouragement. It flows nicely.
One small critique: "When you seem to have lost what your (should be 'you're') living for, your(should be 'you're') on your knees and you can't take it anymore"
