  No End in Sight
Picture Credits: http://www.wtv-zone.com/.../ Hallo-bleedingeyes.gif

I crawl out every morning,
with a nightmare haunting me;
I crawl out every morning,
‘bout as blue as a man can be.
I go on thru the motions,
while I’m wound up tight;
same sh*t is brewing,
that was brewing last night!
What else can I do? – there’s no end in sight!

I stumble thru the work day,
hope the man don’t fire me;
I gotta earn that dirt pay,
cuz my bills are ‘bout to bury me.
I try to make a showing,
try with all my might,
but I’m slipping into darkness,
pressure’s higher than a kite!
What else can I do? – There’s no end in sight!

What else can I do? – There’s no end in sight!
What else can I do? – There ain’t a thing that’s right!
Down at the tunnel’s end - I think I see the light;
it’s a big damned train – oh, people that’s a bite!
What else can I do with no end in sight?

I slam those shooters nightly;
chase ‘em down with those tall, cold beers.
Pour me ‘nother Jaeger mamma;
I’m tryin’ to chase away my fears.
I keep on get higher,
but I can’t get right,
same troubles plague me,
that were plaguing me last night!
What else can I do? – There’s no end in sight!

What else can I do? – There’s no end in sight
What else can I do? – There ain’t a thing that’s right
Down at the tunnel’s end - I think I see the light;
it’s a big damned train – oh, people that’s a bite!
What else can I do with no end in sight?

What else can you do? You did one thing you can do. You shared your feelings with us. Shared pain is lighted. Shared pain lets you see a sunshine.
I like your poem Lyle!

With love,
Irina.

I enjoy all your poetry; shows a lot of life experience; must be our age, eh?

Great write. I sometimes feel that there is no end, but I'm retiring from my career as of
17 Oct, 2005; WOW!!

One comment: if you're going to use a word like 'shit', then use it; don't be shy.

Regards,
David Pekrul

I know how you feel.
But drinkings no the answer, it just makes you sick the next morning. I hope you feel better.
Keep up the good work.

I think your travling the wrong way. Turn around and use the money you were going to spend on the shooters and beer and get a big steak and baked potatoe. This is a sad but very real emotion and you have done a good job expressing it. Thanks, Anthony
