The Colours Of War

  The Colours Of War

Red and yellow,
Black and white,
Each one's a child,
Caught in the fight.

An innocent child
Torn from it's mother,
Is any one colour
Worth less than the other?

"It doesn't much matter
What happens to them,
But don't you dare touch
My child or my kin."

Red and yellow,
Black and white,
Thinking like this
Does not make it right.

When children die there,
It hurts all the same,
And it hurts even more
When we are to blame.

When we see those children,
Let's look at our own,
And thank the Good Lord,
That they're not alone.

Red and yellow,
Black and white,
Let's hope that one day
We'll all see the light.

It's good that God remembers all his children and that his coming resurrection will give the fallen ones life again. :-)

Nice job and wonderful topic. Children shouldn't die young its such a tragedy. Not that dying at any age is good, but at least give them a chance to experience life. Thanks, Anthony

Marvelous work, and very very very true. It hurts when we see so many uncaring of the people they kill, so long as its not our own, right?
