Teen Years
by Brittney N. N. (Age: 17)
copyright 02-21-2005

Age Rating: 13 to 127

In the years when your young,
when your just reaching double digits.
Your feel important,
happy and sublime.
Then you reach 13,
and life hits you full force.
You start to fall in love,
you get your first serious boyfriend.
You go on your first real date,
you get your first kiss.
When you first turn 13,
it's all first.
That one year seems to last forever,
because your firsts turn to life experiences.
By the time you've hit only mid 13,
you feel you have gained a life of experiences.
Your first love turns into many loves.
Your first and many loves,
turn into severe heartbreaks.
Your heartbreaks,
sadly turn into a slowly growing depression.
As your teen years continue,
and your turning 14.
Your heartbreak and depression thicken,
and it soon seems depresion is all that left in your life.
At this point of depression,
you feel cold, empty, and as if life itself is uselss.
You don't want to live,
you don't want to die.
You feel nothing,
but fear of how 15 will feel.
Fearing that 15 ...
will be worse than hell itself.

Hmmm, I felt your description of fourteen last summer. Even though, I don't think fourteen will be too bad for me? Why? Because I can get working papers! I'll be able to get away from my parent, (who will probably be divorced by then, but I'm used to their fighting n' stuff) and my best friend threatens to give me a neck brace if I don't keep my chin up. :) No matter how bad things seem, if you've got strong dreams, a strong will, and good friends in the end, somehow in some way things can be better. All the same, good work! Keep writing!

P.S. What if you've been forbidden to date until your 16? And what if you had your first love when you were 11 and it has lasts two years? XD

this poem is what a teenger goes through, after all i am 15. life is really great at the first as a teenager then it sometimes goes down hill. that's okay though, u can fear things will get worst. sometimes they do, but then again they will get better.
