  Something New

I'm writing you this poem
to tell you something new.
It won't show you a path
or anything you can do.

You see this is my life,
its written in many songs.
It tells of many victories
and of oh so many wrongs.

I can't say that I'm perfect.
Nor even the worst to see.
And I won't tell you I'm best
unless its jokingly.

You want to get inside,
its my life you want to see.
But I can't let you in the door,
for someone has stole the key.

The door is hard to get to
and the lock is hard to break.
The path is rough and thorny,
so all your courage it will take.

I'm not saying it's impossible,
or that it's easy to do.
I'm just saying it is hard
and that it's up to you!

Lovely peice, with good rhyming pattern.

I like that you describe your life as neither perfect, or the worst.

A very interesting poem made me think...though it's not only other people who have to take that road to find out who you really are we ourselves have to take the road to discover ourselves. The older we get the more experiance gained right? so that means everyday it gets easier to walk that road to discover something new and not just about ourselves but other people too....aslong as we take the time!....keep writing

I love this poem very much.
It make me think about something that's hard to explain in English.

I think each piece of poetry written exposes small pieces of the poets life. Good writing.

Wow, sounds like your egging me on. Sounds like it's a challenge. I can just see you, looking at me with your eyebrow raised and waiting, thinking... well, are you gonna try? Go ahead and make my day... punk! LOL

Hmm... maybe I will, and maybe I won't. Perhaps the cat, is really the mouse. Maybe, just maybe, it's YOU that will have to try hard to find the real ME! :-)

I really liked this, by the way. It rhymed and flowed with a sing-songy effect. Like a lullabye that I would sing to my children at night.

I think this is one of your best writes.
The rhyme just flows.
And i absolutely love the message.
Keep up the good work.
