Oh, Moon who shines at night
Wilt you divulge the secret of your ways?
Or will you remain austere in your posture?
Coming and going as you so please
Who cloaked you with such dress?
For you are spotted for a reason
Your face I've seen for ever
You have never frowned
In mystery you live your days
Not tiring of your daily rounds
I sit upon your skirt and watch you exit
At times you enter with your lover
Oh, moon who shines by day
Will you ever cease in splendor?
Will you ever wane?
Or will you last for ever?
You reign at night in solitude
Naked to the eyes of man
There are some who sing to you, deep in sorrow
And others who run from you, when they're insane

They say that if two lovers look at the moon at the same time and are thinking of each other when they do they will see the face of their lover. Do you beleive that. I don't know, but I would be worth a try I'd say. huh?
Roger! that is what I was trying to explain to you the other night but I couldn't find the words, you described it perfectly, now maybe my mom will understand what I was so excited about she has to read this. Thank you
I really liked this poem, expecially how you described the moon. The moon is so mysterious, and you described it so beautifully. Keep up the good work! ^.^
Now this is a poem that that truly speaks to the mystique of the moon and the tangible and not so tangible ways 'she' seems to affect everyone at some time. The ways of the moon are at once natural and mysterious...Would a poet have it any other way? One of the better moon poems I've seen...
