The Peach of Despair
by Rob Woodyard
copyright 01-25-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Grief
Is the pit
Left behind

After life that beautifully bloomed
Was enjoyed in full

When you come to a tree
Bearing beautiful fruit

Don't let the peach die
Still waiting for you

Don't let it fall to the ground
And rot at your feet

Jump up and grab it
Shake the branches, if you must

Use your wits
Your strength
All of your being
To grasp it

To get the sweet fruit that gives you such life

Be a gentle soul
Graciously accept what the earth gives to you
For in its turn, it will take it all back

And a pit of grief
Will be left behind
To all those you loved
To those who loved you

You can cling to the pit
Or return it to the ground
To bless another with life,
With hope, with ultimate love, with ultimate sorrow
Remember - it's poison
But the only chance we have left to return

There really isn't anything I can't say that would truely add to what everyone else has written.

Don't let it fall to the ground
And rot at your feet

Jump up and grab it
Shake the branches, if you must

^ Thats my favorite part :D

The more you give, the more you will get.
But as you never hope,
never looking foward to take from others,
the most that you must get and you can't refuse to take it.
