More Romance
by Anthony Lane Stahlhut (Age: 47)
copyright 01-20-2005

Age Rating: 4 to 127

Stop to smell the flowers,
take in all that's near.
Take a chance and compose
and cast away your fear

The world needs more poets,
to get us through our day.
To add a little rhythm,
to all of this dismay.

If we meet the problems,
with a little elegance.
Maybe we'll find solutions,
to put problems in past tense,

Life has gotten gruff,
so take the edge off the knife.
Use a little poetry,
and add beauty to your life.

Put some ink on paper,
and do it with rhythm and rhyme.
Tell of the beauty that you see,
and keep it for all time.

The world needs more romance,
to get us through our day.
Take a chance and compose.
Put some beauty in what you say.

Pretty words you've written
and pretty praise you've earned
I'm very glad you've loved
whether or not you're loved in return
For that feeling of flying and floating
is what your wakes your muse each day
And gives her something worth writing
and tells you what you should say
How glad I am you've loved
How glad I am you write
Your words soothe many a day
and ease many through their night

Poetry is therapy for the poet and a medicine for the readers. Never stop writing. Whenever I think all my poems have been created, another one shows up. Ain't it great?

I have been a member for just one day, however, I have read several pieces on this site. This is the BEST one yet.

Awesome and Inspirational!
