I Walk Alone
by Sarah Taylor (Age: 31)
copyright 02-03-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

They say you can't go back.
Which in many ways is true.
Yet sometimes it helps.
Sometimes you really need to...

While living in the past,
of not so long ago,
I saw a path set forth;
to where, I didn't know.

For me the path came second
Cause it didn't matter where.
The only thing that mattered
Was that you'd be walking there.

Fate stepped-in to send us,
down paths all of our own.
And so the path we tread upon
We now must walk alone.

Today, I look beside me,
As I travel down that line,
The only footsteps falling
are the lonely ones, of mine.

I only wish that you could see
the person I've become.
When it comes, to regrets,
Am I the only one?

I guess it doesn't matter,
For, we can't change the past.
And the good-byes exchanged,
Turned-out to be our last.

And, so I shall continue,
into the great unknown.
The only thing I'm certain of...
I will walk alone.

Sarah Taylor
