Anyone Out There?

  Anyone Out There?

Anyone out there?
I’m wanting to know.
Is there anyone there?
Please let your love show.

I’m stuck in this place,
And I’m told I must stay,
Don't like it in here,
Feel like running away.

I tried to fit in,
But it wasn’t that easy,
I thought I was liked,
But they thought I was sleazy.

With no love at home,
And much less on the street,
I was used and abused,
And it caused me to weep.

So I joined “The Soul Sisters”,
I thought they were cool,
We were busted for drugs,
And I felt like a fool.

Now I’m sitting in prison,
Going out of my mind,
Is there anyone there?
Please let your love shine.

David, so many people fall in with the wrong crowd when there is not enough love at home. Good write.
