Chit-Chat With Tina!
......When The Computer Goes Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
by Tina Z. (Age: 15)
copyright 02-05-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Hey! Hey! Hey!

Today's topic for discusion:computers and why I havn't

written in a while.

Computers are wonderful, I must agree, but they are

not that wonderful when you get a virus.

Unfortunately, I got a virus, let me tell you what

happend.

It was a jolly good day and I had just finished all of

my homework so I thought that I could go on the

internet and have some fun. I turned on my computer

and just as it was starting up, a blue screen

appeared! The blue screen appeared for only 2 seconds

and then my computer re-started. The computer kept on

re-starting over and over again, which got me

frustrated. I had no choice, because it was going on

for at least an hour, but to turn it off. I tried

turning on my computer but the same blue screen

continued appearing. One day, I turned on the computer

and it started going peep-peep-peep-peep. When the

peep-ing stopped it made a short noise that went

brrrrr, and just shut off. About a week later my

father brought the computer to my cousin, who is a

computer whiz, so he could fix it. It took my cousin

about 3 weeks to fix it. When I got my baby back I

found out that the Internet needed to be to re-

installed, and better yet the modem was not working.

By the time my family, my cousin, and I had everything

ready, it was yesterday. My cousin installed the

internet and I asked lots of questions. So here I am

today, writing my explanation as to why I did'nt write

in my column. i hope you will find a space in your

heart to forgive me.

As always, I want to tell you a good book.

Title: Sixth Grade Secrets

Author: Lois Sachar

My Comments: This is a really good book and you don't

have to be in 6th grade to read it. Laura Sibbie is

the main character and she forms a club with her two

best friends, Tiffany and Allison. She names the

club "Pig City" after the hat that she wears. Soon,

they ask other kids to join. Messages start appearing

on the board about pigs and no one knows who does it.

Mr. Doyle, the teacher, suspects that it might be

Laura. In a while, Laura's club isn't the only club

around because a boy named Gabriel forms a new club,

Monkey Town. These two clubs don't like each other

that much. Soon enough, the war begins! There are all

kinds of things done between the two clubs. Like all

of Sachar's books, this one is also good.

See ya' later!

Computer viruses definitely suck. I hope you have some decent virus protection software on your computer. There are a lot of nasty viruses out there.Virus protection can get a little costly, but considering what could happen without it, it is well worth the price.

Nice entry.
hey, is this the one you got from Mrs.Gevertzman's library?
And did you return it?
'cause when I asked her for it, it wasn't there.
