Wacky Jackie
by David Pekrul
copyright 02-07-2005

Age Rating: 13 to 127

There was a young lady named Jackie,
Who people thought dressed rather tacky,
Wearing jeans with a thong,
Ripped where they don’t belong,
Was not only tacky, but wacky.

There was a cool poet named Dave
Whose poetry was all the rage
He wrote of poor Jackie
Who was kind of wacky
When you see her make sure that you wave

Another he wrote of was Heather
Who was famous because of her feathers
She married a man
I believe it was Dan
I hear she started to wear leather

So read up, enjoy all Dave's works
You'll smile at all of his quirks
He inspires us all
With a poetry call
And never a feeling of irks

And be sure to leave him a note
Your thoughts on things that he wrote
You'll like what you read
I've laughed 'til I peed
And had to go home in a boat!

I had forgotten how fun limericks can be! It's like McDonald's...I'm lovin' it!!

This reminds me of, "Mary, Mary, quite contrary." I would like to meet this, Jackie! I think this is a fun poem. Sometimes we should let loose and write fun things such as this!
