Over mountains of paper I toil,
wiping the sweat from my brow.
Searching for answers to the questions.
Trying to find out the how.

I look for the right words to write,
that will convey the things I feel.
I want to show all the emotions,
remembering I must keep it real.

I go through so many erasers,
and the trash has become such a pile.
My thoughts keep running into a barrier.
Guess I'll just nap for a while..

I wake to find the computer,
has crashed while I was asleep.
Now I'll have to start all over,
because a copy I did not keep.

All of these things that I do,
are done just hoping you might.
Take the time out of your day
and comment on the things I write!

Now you know how I feel!!!! hehehehehe. So sweet you are trying and trying. You tend to give "me" strength, but get out of bed and write! Isn't that what you more or less said to me!?
Get over the "block" and just do it. You inspire me more than you know.
Nice write again.
Love,
Jen

I REALLY like the pic on this one. :-)

And once I lost a whole entire story when I went to save it... my screen went blank. I was breathless, like my heart had been torn out. I was immediately frustrated, exasperated, and exhausted. A Captain N Coke later, it was time to go to take a deep breath, shrug it off, and go to bed. I never did rewrite that story.

You always deserve feedback, since you are the most generous commentor on this site!
As for the poem, I can identify. Since writing is now not so new too me now, I seem to find a spiritual need to do some writing, editing, or something on the computer everyday. My wife thinks I'm a bit solitary, but I believe I'm actually a better father and husband for it; I'm not out at topless bars or hanging ouit with the guys all night long!

sounds like what I do all the time...(Even for a 13 year old!!!).i would sit for endless hours with a big stack of paper and several pencils and just write...trying to sort stuff out. Then i would often do the same of the computer as well.Lickliy mine has never crashed!another good work!

Oh, I been there many times. Looking a my computer screen just wanting to write something, all these feelings and emotions, but nothing will come. I end up watching TV, hoping for some inspiration.
