It's Just Me, Lord

  It's Just Me, Lord

It’s just me, Lord.
Another day is done
and I’m ready to turn in for the night.

Nothing much happened to me today,
no accidents or injuries,
no sickness or hunger,
no anxiety or heartache,
no worry or pain.

Just another day of Your blessings,
a loving family,
good friends,
a little laughter and joy,
all the good things that come from You.

Just a normal, regular day in a country with no war,
not having to look over my shoulder
waiting for the next attack.

Spending the morning in the local coffee shop,
openly expounding my beliefs and opinions,
without the worry of being arrested and persecuted.

Now I slowly drift off to sleep,
with pleasant anticipation of the day to come,
yet knowing that if I don’t wake to see it,
I will see You face to face in Your Heavenly Kingdom.

Good Night, Lord.

"God inhabits the praises of His people"
I believe that if we remember to praise Him often, He is much more able to bless us, as we are in His Presence!
You, as am I, are truly blessed.
Debbie

This is a very heartfelt prayer and one that could be said by a lot of people. This could someday be a favorite of many! Good job, Anthony

I think it's really great that you remember to say "Thank You" for things in your prayer. All too often I hear people resorting to prayer only when they want something or when something is very wrong. There is happiness in every day and a reason for thanksgiving in every day. I am so very fortunate to work for a small company where my first "assignment" of the day is to type up at least five things I am thankful for and to email it to the owner of the company. Isn't that great? Well, I liked this. Thank you for sharing it.
