The world as we know it is perfectly round,
And it seems that our lives are the same.
We all make some money, then go into debt,
And it's 'round and 'round again.
I want to get off this merry-go-round,
For this ride is becoming a pain,
The nickels and dimes are just spinning away,
And it's 'round and 'round again.
The motion sickness is getting to me,
And my pocketbook's feeling the strain,
I'm making some money, then spending some more,
And it's 'round and 'round again.
But I'll keep going 'round in circles,
It's the only thing that seems plain,
Don't ever expect to inherit,
'Cause it's 'round and 'round again.
