Nice poem. The all-elusive 'real me' that we so often think is too dangerous to show to the world. Such a pity, how we often live in fear and how this rubs off on our family, children, friends.
A batter in batting pratcice does not show the other team exactly how well he hits the ball. A NASCAR driver always holds back something for the race and when we fall in love, we hold something back incase of being rejected.
