The Hated Flower
by Lucy Suzume Q. (Age: 17)
copyright 03-13-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I'm rejected like a rose
All torn up on the ground
Nobody cares or knows
That I'm feeling down.

How I wish to smile once more
How I wish to laugh
I don't wanna be a bore
With everyone hating me like the subject math.

I want to cry freely
Not hiding it inside
But everyone would look at me weirdly
Like I'm a baby being a teenager in disguise.

I don't wanna feel so low
I want to make a cheerful sound,
But I'm rejected like a rose
That's all torn up on the ground.

Such strong and painful emotions. Ones I know very well. The poem is deep and sad. I wish my praise could reach the author. It's so truly wonderful and flows so beautifully. Wonderful work. It shows deep and true emotions and is full of sadness and pain. Dark poems are my thing and this is going at the top of my list. Amazing work.

Hi. This is Lucy's younger sister...Lucy is the girl who wrote these poems. I just wanted to tell people that I'm very sorry to say this but my sister Lucy has died. I hope you really enjoyed her poems that she wrote. She wrote more than these, but she didn't put them up. Please pray for her soul.

Ouch. Being torn up = not a good feeling. But hey! Great poem! Good comparisons and figurative language...Keep it up.

A great poem that really tells of how adolscence is.
It is a hard time in ones life growing up, all those mixed emotions etc.
Hang in! and keep writing its the best cure.
Tori

I really like this poem, Lucy. Everyone feels rejected at some point in their lives, and this is why most people can relate to this poem. but it'll pull through. Life has its twists and turns. Great job!

Dido on everyone's remarks. A little polishing and this will be a great poem.
