Equal

by Jenna Tramonti (Age: 20)

Age Rating: 7 +

All the popular kids in school
Are the ones who decide what's "weird" and what's "cool"

They're the people who everyone knows,
While the rest of us are in the shadows...

Most people think those children are so great,
But I'd give 'em a ZERO on a one-to-ten rate!

But one fact stays strong in my heart:
Just our POPULARITY alone can't tell us apart,

Because if you're geeky, "cool", black, or white,
We're all equal in the good Lord's sight!

Popularity does not make the person. You put very well in this poem. We are all the same in God's eyes. You are very bright for your age.

Such wisdom from a young woman. This is very true and I am proud of you for writing it! Thanks,Anthony

This shows great insight. I really like your attitude in the writing of this poem. We certainly are equal in God's eyes. When we learn to accept everyone, regardless of their colour, religion, cultural background, we will be enriched in our lives.
Your poem is well written,

David Pekrul
