---------------------------------

I sat down last night.
And started thinking about you.
I thought about all the great things I love.
And then I got to wondering,
If I were to write my wedding vows on this very day,
What exactly would I say?

“Rachel,” it would start out
“The woman of my dreams,” I would say
“I was at a very low point in my life.
I didn’t know where I was going.
I had been in and out of relationships
None of them met my needs.
Then God answered my nightly prayers,
By sending an angel like you.”

By now you would be crying,
But no worry because I would be too.
Tears of joy shed in happiness,
And a disbelief that I have found,
Someone as great as you.

My next step is to tell you
Just how beautiful I know you are

“And Rachel,” The second part would start
Oh, how I love to say your name
But back to the vows before I loose your attention
With hopeless romanticism and sappiness

And Rachel, “You are my reason.
You’re my light on a very dark day
Your beauty inner and outer,
Just blows me away.
Your just being there makes me better.
Your gentleness is unmatched.
You Brown eyes beam with warmth.
Your Smile brings joy to my everyday.
You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen.
And I will never ask for anything else,
As long as you stay here with me.”

By now my words would be jumbled
As I fight for the strength to go on.
Trying to remember what I had written.
Trying to remember just like I had rehearsed.
Then suddenly, with a deep breath,
The words begin to flow.
And out the final promises come…

“Rachel, you are my answer to countless prayers.
You are my reason to live.
I will always be true to you.
I will always be there for you.
I want to build our lives together.
I want everything life has to offer,
And I want it all with you
No matter what rocky paths lie ahead,
I promise to carry you and guide you,
In the best way that I can.
And if we fall, we fall together.
And when we get up, we get up stronger,
Because we have each other by the hand.
I am so in love with you,
That even your imperfections are perfect.
I never thought two people could just fit,
Especially not the way we do.
You have my promise of forever love.
Don’t ever forget tomorrow or fifty years from now,
I Love You!
And I always will.”

I know by now you are in tears.
But Rachel I just wanted you to know,
That if tomorrow was our big day,
That what I have just written,
Is exactly what I would say.
My words are true now and forever.
I Love you more than life itself,
And I always will.
Someday I will marry you,
And be the luckiest man alive.
For I have found my soul-mate.
And there is just one more thing to say,
“I LOVE YOU!”

Wait a minute, Christopher! After what you put me through, reading all your mushiness, you come out and say, "Some day I'll marry you?" What kind of crap is this! You marry her now! Right now! You can't wait until someday! Some day may never come! I thought you were almost walking down the isle or something. Gee....Don't do that! After a testimony like this, you better marry her soon....
