A Reply To "In Their Dreams"

A Reply To "In Their Dreams" by Anthony Lane Stahlhut
--------------------------
So oft' I see the fair maiden
dreaming of all that could be
Many a girl in daydreams accomplish
what's difficult in the day to see

I like how there's a boy - a man,
in your poem who dreams as well
Whose dreams weave a tale
an interesting story to tell

While reading your poem today
I couldn't help but wonder
If the two were strangers,
or of each other they did ponder

I ravishly read each word
hoping to read a happy ending
Hoping some union of souls
was the message you were sending

Alas 'twas not to be, I guess
but still I loved this read
Though it left me hungry for more
and only teased my inner need

I am so sorry that I let you down, but the poem was about the dreams of children and they were not connected. Untill she lets her hair down and he saves her and they ride off in the sunset! I love you, Bright eyes and this site has missed you, too! Thanks, Anthony
