Is That What Is Wrong With Me?
by Katie M.
copyright 04-02-2005

Age Rating: 13 to 127

They say
I’m screwed up.
Not right in the head.
That I only do well
In school
Because I am quiet.
They say
Mean things.
Terrible,
Horrible,
Ugly things.
“She talks to
Herself.”
I have no friends;
No one else will
Talk to me.
“She’s bulimic.”
I have an ulcer from
Constant stress.
“She is so pale;
A vampire.
She won’t stay out
In the sun.”
I
Love the sun;
I am anemic,
And I both faint
And burn easily.
"Look at her limp,
She is so
Faking."
I can't help having the
Osgood Schlatters disease;
I have to have a knee
REPLACED when I turn sixteen.
“She cuts herself.”
Or “Look at all of those bracelets!”
Is that a crime now?
Wearing bracelets?
But the one that
Takes the cake;
The one that
Steals home plate…
“She’s obsessed with
Separating herself from
Others.”
I have a question;
Would you
Want a friend who
Talks like that about
You?

~~~~~~~~
I don't mean to sound anti-social, but I have heard these rumors and more. The fact is, I appear to be a little more odd than most, and people are afraid of those who refuse to fall into a catagory. Even the people I called my friends seem to have turned their backs on me now.
The truth of the matter is, folks, everyone is just jealous that the voices are talking to me and not you (besides, they speak in Spanish, I don't pay attention to 'em anyway).
I found something out my self I have a aunt who was made fun of her entire life at school and at home saying almost the same things these people are saying and I hear it myself.My aunt is a very beautiful and happy person.Social labels and remarks only mke people stronger and more determined. Those ppl will be on the streets and you'll be famous & beautiful.
Sometimes those voices are telling you good things. Not listening may be a bad thing. I want to be your friend and so do a lot of us at P-N-P. Keep writing I like your work. Anthony
