The Dream of Dreams

Green grass,
as far as the eye can see.
a lone tree in the distance.
i walk towards the tree,
as the wind blows,
through my hair.
the grass dancing on the ground,
to the beat of music,
that i cannot hear.
i sit under the tree and,
brush against,
it's hard smooth surface.
i choose to just lay next to it,
and feel the soft pillowy grass,
which holds me,
like a true love.
i feel safe again.
i look to the heavens,
and see clouds,
like those seen only,
in one's dreams.
shapes of people, animals,
and other things.
i then see her,
yet i cannot see her face,
but still she approaches me.
dark haired she is,
soft and straight
like the grass below.
soft buttery skin,
with the complexion,
of maple syrup.
to any other man,
she may be another girl,
but to me.....
perfection.
God spent his time,
making her indeed.
she sits next to me,
as i lean from my bed of plains.
i run my hand through her hair,
and my hand could melt there,
such be the delicateness of her mane.
as both setting next to each other,
we stare into each other's eyes.
and though i can't see them,
being my dream,
i look into her eyes.
they must be a baby blue,
an emerald green,
or a silvery gray,
to catch my gaze.
we lean towards each other to kiss,
and we fall to the soft blanket,
that is the land.
her lips tender,
tasting like honey,
to the tongue.
though eyes be shut,
her face would seen by be,
in my mind,
but my mind conceals,
her face from me,
being that of a dream.
i feel the soft skin,
of her back,
warm and cozy,
softness be there.
she feels like a soft blanket,
wrapped around me,
being her embrace.
no telling how long,
i was there with her.
any longer,
and we might have suffocated,
our very selves,
with such a long kiss.
(a slight laugh)...
only the end of my dream,
could tear me away now.....

i come to....
eyes open to the darkness,
that is my bedroom.
a tear streams down my cheek.
i awake feeling a loss,
but how?
when have i ever had,
such a beauty of such magnitude?
will i meet her someday?
i may never know,
but i pray i dream this dream,
till i do find her...
my sweetheart,
my dear one,
my soulmate,
my love.....
be safe,
where ever you are,
my love........
